See through the disabled

In Arkangel, episode 2 of season 4 of Black Mirror, we see a kid being monitored by her mother through an ipad: it captures her location, what she sees and hears.

Although a dark technology if used for surveillance, I can see this being useful when putting ourselves in the shoes of disabled people to understand more specifically what they would need on a daily basis. We could potentially discover whether some visually impaired people have a notion of color or not (or used to), and therefore extract useful information when it comes to designing products that could fill in the gaps, or give extended cues about the world around them. This could also be used for medical research and pattern analysis of disabilities.
